My 2nd great grandmother, Susan Jordan(1807-1882), married Reubin Jackson of Walton County in 1832. They had a son Edmund (among other children) b. 1840. Seeking her parents, who may have come from SC. Is she any relation to Edmund Jordan (1785-1848)? Missing links abound! Thanks for any help.

Maybe.

Some constructive criticism. I am still finding my way here and attempting to look at requests for my names gives me good experience. It is VERY helpful to put the WikiTree profile number along with the name of the person you are seeking help with. My name is Jordan and I have several branches coming from the Spartanburg area so I tried to look up Edmund but no one with those dates.

My 2nd GGfather was Allen Jordan-9042 born in 1808 in Georgia.

I have UNverified information that his father was John Jordan (1780-1870) married to a Mary unknown (1790-1870). I have NOT created profiles here as I have no qualified sources. Feel free to compare these ancestors of mine to yours and perhaps others can help too.

Thanks, Michael. My Susan is Jordan-10649; I have nothing about her save her marriage record, later censuses, and headstone in the Jackson family plot in Monroe, GA. Sadly, the sanctuary burned in the 1970s and early burial records were lost.
