Can we merge away profiles like this one?

Question

I am creating a profile for a Charles Johnson - this one came up as a possible duplicate. Orphaned, no family, no birthdates - just a name. Can I just merge this (and ones like it) away?

As long as there is no profile manager (on this one there isn't) then yep, that would be fine :)

I also came across a similar profile while working on a branch of my line. This profile was also an orphan and had no family information, only a name. I adopted the profile and incorporated it into my work. I also made the facts known in the "explain changes" section of the profile as to why I adopted the "straggler."
