Looking for parents of Dan Hadly of Boston Thomas ga born 1848-1850

Dan Hadly was married in 1874 in Thomas county Georgia, to Jane Simmons

The marriage record is no help, there are both extracted records and an image on Family Search. Have you found a death record yet? That could name parents. Did he have an obituary? There are a couple newspaper databases that may have a newspaper for the area where he died. At least one of the can be used for free at a Family History Center. Is there a county history for where he lived? If so, there might be a biographical entry for him.

Look for an obituary for his wife.

Look at the Hadly wills in Boston, if you think the father remained there. You might find one with a mention of Dan in Georgia.

He is of an age where his birth record may be in the online Massachusetts birth records (Family Search, American Ancestors, Ancestry, and possibly other sources). This could identify candidates for your Dan Hadley. Check the censuses as well, in both Massachusetts and Georgia.

Thanks George. I do have Jane Hadley death cert shows born April 15,1848. Shows parents A.J Joyce. But that's where I get stuck at. Need more direction

This HADLEY's descendants were in Thomas County, Gerogia.
One of his sons had the middle name of Daniel.
Perhaps one of his grandsons was named Daniel ?

You really helped me out greatly. I do have Jane Hadley death certificate. It shows me that she was born in April 15, 1848, but I cannot locate any data on her parents, which she stated her father as A.J Joyce and mother Rose Ann. I need more direction

It looks like DAN is his middle name.
First name starts with "J" but not sure what it is.

Because of your Dan's census records, I think that his
father is the Simon Daniel Hadley (Jr.) I mentioned before.
He had 28 children by 2 women.

I have no idea if this might be related, but maybe you will recognize some of the siblings names, and see a link to your ancestor?   If Ahaur is her husband?, aged 29 - then the older children are likely from a previous father. Or maybe he is the oldest child, head of household.

Well inregards to Ahaur Joyce, that's been my best investigation on Jane Simmons-Hadley, birth,age,census etc. The only fact I have is the tax digest of Thomas county of both Dan,/Jane listed and recorded. Thanks
