Looking for any connection between Tarr and Durr.

I note your earliest Tarr ancestor is from Germany. In old German records i’ve seen names beginning with D and T indexed together, as they represent a somewhat similar sound; but not A and U, as these represent quite different sounds.

Lynda, in Gaston County, NC, there are several folks, Derrs not Durrs, who can trace their lineage back to Valentine “Felty” Tarr. I think I may have something on that in my pile of genealogy books, it you need it.
