Can't be that many Ankrum's in Virginia, can there?

Working on the Smith's of West Virginia I found Nancy Caroline Ankrum.  I'm thinking, there can't be that many Ankrum's in the area so she should connect to her family pretty easily, right?  Nope.  So, I'm asking:

Are there any Ankrum/Ankrom/Ancrum experts who might be able to put this daughter where she belongs?

Thanks!

There seem to be at least  fifty on WikiTree at present. And, by the way this fascinating profile is up for adoption should you want a challenge!

"Somebody's daughter."  For sure.

Jackson Smith’s marriage to Nancy Ankrom is located at:

http://www.wvculture,org/vrr

The original record is availbale there.  Also, you can go to the ‘birth ’option and enter just the surname Ankrom and you will see a list of Ankroms.

Also, go to the marriage option and put in either ‘bride’ or ‘groom’ and you will see a list. Click on the blue numbers on the right and the copies will come up. The same goes for deaths.

West Virginia became a State June 20, 1863, but many records before that date say ‘Jackson, or Kanawha, or Roane Counties, Virginia. So be sure to add Jackson County, Va, or Jackson County, VA (Now WV).
