You are still a Guest member and cannot add your family to WikiTree. You need to create your research Tags and Volunteer. A Greeter will then confirm you as a Family Member. You can then sign the Honor Code and add your family tree to our shared tree.

Since you are the very first person with the name Martin-Cohn on Wikitree, there is clearly noone else of that name on Wikitree. Thus you will have to create your own family tree. Or you can upload a small GEDcom if you have one.

I would suggest that you read and sign the honor code in order to be able to manage your own tree here on Wikitree.

Edited - I see that you have uploaded a GEDcom.

Uploading GEDcoms to wikitree does NOT automatically add them to the global tree.

You will need to use the GEDcompare program to verify that every person on your GEDcom does not already have a profile on Wikitree. We do not want to create new duplicates that will have to be merged at a later date.

The below link should be able to help you

She needs to first create research Tags and Volunteer, then be confirmed as a Family Member by a WikiTree Greeter. Only after she is confirmed as a member can she sign the Honor Code. Also a family tree cannot be added until she is confirmed.

Hey Laurie,

Welcome to WikiTree.  I joined just about 6 months ago and it was a little overwhelming.  Take your time, it'll get better.

Write your own profile.  Just add some bio that you want people to know about you.  Then, if you know your parents, add them.  First try to search for them (under Find at the top).  If there are no matches, then create them.  Write profiles for them.

Then slowly add people from your GEDcom.  Eventually you'll connect up with the larger tree.  Ask questions all the time.  Lots of people will help you.

Good luck!
