Welcome to wikitree, cousin.  If I've done my research correctly, I am also a van Due(r)sen descendant of Abraham Pietersz van Deursen.

Welcome to G2G!

On 'his' profile, pick up the WikiID for your parent.  Back at your profile, click Add father/mother.  There is a box for an existing ID.  Drop in your parent's WikiID previously found.  Click the Add button at the bottom.

I'm not sure that Linda, as a Family Member of WikiTree, has sufficient privileges to do that. It might be necessary to become a full Genealogist member by signing the Honor Code.

In any event, Linda can send an introductory message to the relative who created the profiles (he's an active member) by using the "send a private message" link on his profile. And now that she has created duplicate profiles for her parents, members have proposed a merge for her father's two profiles and I'll see if there are other duplicates needing to be merged. (Please don't create any more duplicates -- communicate with the other member instead.)
And it looks like the merge has been completed and Linda is a profile manager of her father's profile.

You are already showing Van_Dusen-472 as your father. If this is a duplicate that you have created then it will need to be merged into the pre-existing profile which the other person created for your father.
