The field to put the name you are searching gives a very very long string of computer stuff if you click in it. I dunno 'bout no computer stuff. Cari

That's not normal, you should get a list of names.

You might get help faster if you edit your question to add "tech" to the 'Surnames and tags' box, near the bottom.
I posted a screenshot
Its private, only a screenshot is visible to another user, but a tech can help you.

As a user, I can't add a tag to your question, but you should be able to do it to your own question.  i believe you use the edit link.
So you don't think you're crazy, Laurie, I moved the screenshot to a dead person's profile. :) Now visible.
Thanks Cari, I'm well past crazy, so no worries either way :)

It looks like you got search working again, and that's the important thing

Where exactly are you putting this name in so you can search? Which page? Which box?

Are you on this page? where are you typing a name?

Thanks for the screenshot.  Try as I might, I still cannot reproduce that great big line of code and error message (and there's a lot of "facebook" in it!)

You're on the right page.  What are you clicking?

Try it again today.  Maybe it was a temporary glitch.
Just tried it again and got the long code. All I do is click in the box. That's all.
I had an idea and turned off Chrome's autofill thingy. No weird string thing. That's easy enough except I use autofill a lot. Just have to remember to turn it off here. Wonder why it thinks that's a Facebook thing or Facebook has an app to automatically log you into places that I have turned on. Hmmm. Wonder if that's fouling things up. Just wondering. I'm a computer dolt.
