What an amazing find this photograph is! Clearly this was taken in the 1800s, and considering the first photographic portraits were taken in 1838, this is a rare treasure, indeed.
I see from the Willingham sources cited so far on John's WikiTree page that there were family living in Kentucky, and I can't help but wonder if this photo was taken in someone's grand Kentucky drawing room--or perhaps more likely--whether this married couple had their photo taken in a photographer's studio in a city portrait studio somewhere.
If you do have access to anything written on the frame or back of this photo, you could glean valuable further insights into some of the amazing history of one of John Willingham's daughters. And it might even help identify which daughter this is.
