Suzanne, given the situation, I believe you should remove all DNA testing information from your own profile. WikiTree guidelines are for the person having taken a test to show the test details on their own profile only. Your situation provides an example why: if your primary interest is in your husband's line, having reference to your daughter's test results labeled as your own will actually hinder your investigation. The reason is that the test information will be propagated up tree as if it is your DNA, so it will never align with your husband's biological family, and any of your ancestral lines comparing results with "yours" will be confused and misled because the results will reflect only a random 50% of your DNA, and will include X-chromosome information that is not yours.
The information "anonymous" provided is correct. The DNA test from FTDNA uses epithelial cells swabbed from inside the cheek only. Absolutely zero salivary output is required. On sale for $59 right now.
If both you and your daughter have test data uploaded to GEDmatch, with a few mouse-clicks you can create a phased kit for your husband. This "pseudo-genome" will represent his DNA only, and can then be used in the typical one-to-many and one-to-one matching with the knowledge that your DNA is not being included in the mix; any matches will be strictly on his side of the family. I think this would be a great asset to your search.
Good luck!
