Kingslant family of East New Jersey [closed]

I have just created the first "Kingslant" family in Wikitree.  They are apparently of the  New Netherland community in East New Jersey being found, first, in Hackensack in 1725 then moving to Essex County where they attended the Second Dutch Reformed Church in Belleville from about 1728 to after 1741.

This family changed their name to Kingsland, of course, and may be related to the Isaac Kingsland who married Elizabeth Berry: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Kingsland-75     However, research on the family of Jan and Marietje (Berry) Kingslant is going slowly for me at the moment.

Any information that will lead to the birthplace of either Jan Kingslant or Marietje Berry/Berri is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I think it's likely that this was an English family originally named Kingsland (i.e., that Jan Kingslant was called John Kingsland by his family and probably was related to -- i.e., a son or nephew of -- Isaac Kingsland) whose names got spelled "Kingslant" when baptisms were recorded by Dutch-speaking clerics in the Dutch churches. But of course that's just idle speculation on my part -- sources are needed!

The image on Isaac Kingsland's otherwise-unsourced profile suggests that he was a planter in Barbados -- sources for this family might be found in Barbados.

Thanks Ellen.  In a marriage record for one of the children, she is listed as being from "New Barbadoes" which now leads me to research the origins of New Barbadoes. . . woohoo!!!!!  I love learning new things.  :D
