G2G: Private Wife Complicates Cannon Merge

What happens to a "private wife" when other duplicate wives are merged?  I have successfully merged duplicate Joseph Cannons into a single profile [Cannon-1832]. I intend to propose a merge between the two profiles for his first wife [Clements-3189] and [Clements 1990] only there's a third "private wife" profile that cannot be touched.  I have no way of knowing whether this "private wife" is Joseph Cannon's second wife Julia A. (unknown).  Can the "private wife" profile be opened or removed?

Just merge the two public wives. The third wife won't have any effect on merging those two.

It looks as though all three wives are open now, so someone must have resolved this for you.
