I'm oh-so-excited - made my first connection!

I was building out the family of Maurice Britt, one of the military heroes whose profile I collaborated on recently with Eddie King and Lynette Jester.  I just found that his first cousin's husband's parents are already on WikiTree and I am sooooooo excited to be able to connect him to his already existing parents!!!!!!!

There is a very sad piece of this story - Albert, his wife (Maurice Britt's cousin), and their four children (between 3 and 11) all died together in a tornado.  By the way, do we have a category for the March 21, 1952 Arkansas tornado?

W00t! Good job!
Thumbs up.
Way to go, Gaile. Keep up the good work.
I didn't read your post properly before I clicked on his profile. It gave me goosebumps (as we say in England? Same in Us?). The way his bio is factually stated brought a tear to my eye, its so unexpected as you read and so tragic. Brilliant work linking Maurice to his family!
Congratulations!!

Wow, this is excellent news, Gaile--well done!  That really is such a marvelous feeling, when a connection is made and, Voila!  The person is now part of much older history here at WikiTree!

I'm so sad to hear the sad news about Albert, his wife and all four children dying in a tornado.  I only learned just this week that back in those days, tornado weather reports were not given out from scientists to townspeople, since predictions were not considered all that reliable, and as a result, lots of people died due to tornados whose deaths nowadays would likely have been prevented, thanks to timely warnings.

A WikiTree free space page could be created for this tornado, along the lines of this 1927 tornado page at WikiTree:

Found this which lists each tornado by county, the number of deaths, and the Fujita rating. Hope this helps.
