I'm not in the Adams Family Tree but this 264 acre farm on County Line Road #627 has been in my family 79 years since my grand parents, Watt Wade and Maggie Morris Smith purchased it from bankruptcy (J T Garst) in 1939. I traced the land back to 1898 and the land went from the Garsts to J C Adams and then on back to 1791 to a Joshua Adams but not the Primitive Baptist Preacher it seems, he was only just born to John and Mary Adams that year. There was another Joshua Adams born in 1745 in Stafford Co., maybe this is the right Joshua for our land. Realize I'm a novice in this field but I'm working from deeds, not genealogy, that's why I'm turning to you. Something didn't seem right as Joshua, the Preacher, was born that year (91) so he couldn't be the purchaser, his father was John. The tricky part is that there were a number of Joshua's during that immediate period of late 1700. My question is which Joshua live on the property ?
