I wanted to share this family photo of Sybil Wilkinson with the community. Location: unknown. Date: unknown.

I wonder if she had a child before she married my Grandfather. I have to wonder, because I saw the pictue of Jackie Lee Gunnoe and he looks like my Uncle, Sybils first child with Alvin Workman

What an extraordinary photograph this is!  Sybil's dress is very stylish for the early 1930s, and she has such a look on her face of mixed emotions--a remarkable combination of wistful sadness on the left side of her face (our right side)--and such a critically appraising right eye. I get a sense that this photo shows a real mixture of emotions for her at this point in time. Thanks so much for sharing this!

You described my Grandmother to a tee. I and my sister look very much like Grandma, but I have the same critically appraising mind.I spent a lot of time with her when I was a child. I just hope it was as pleasing for her as it was for me. She never talked much about her past only the here and now. I adored her.

I really like this picture of Sybil and her baby.  She has a beautiful dress on, a stylish hairstyle, and her baby is so adorable.
