G2G codes -- need explanation

+4 votes
Following a post on G2G is the poster's name and a code. My recent one was "G2G6"

I notice others have lower numbers and often followed by some code.

What do these mean? Others probably have wondered too.

The help file only partially answers the question  -- says badge awarded at 6000 points but codes (mach, pilot, etc.) are not defined.

Hi Walter, you mostly have it.  The Mach numbers indicate point totals in units of 10,000:  Mach 3 means more than 30k points, etc.  Pilot means over 100k points, and Astronaut means over 1 million points.

Hi Walter,

I see you have over 6,000 points but do not have your G2G6 Badge. This badge is not awarded automatically, so if you answer this G2G6 Question, Eowyn will award your badge,
