How long for dna match to show up?

I talked a 23andme person that I have a high match with to join and link his dna to Wiki. He doesn't know for sure who his father is. I have cousins on both sides of the family that he should match with one of them. Really want to narrow down his relationship with me, so I can help him find his bio-father. His mother has passed on.
