Trying to verify existence of Statin, Germany

Hello.  I recently added a member to my family tree here:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bartz-329

According to information I have from the Illinois death record, it lists his birth place as Statin, Germany.  Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of the actual record to verify if this is correct, but the spelling I'm hoping is close enough.  I'm not able to verify that this town exists or ever existed.  Can anyone else confirm if this is the correct spelling or if it refers to some other place?  This is the only confirmed relative I've discovered with an actual location in Germany, so I am very interested in finding out where this was.  Thank you!

There are a couple of other Bartz profiles on WikiTree with a birthplace of Stettin.

Perhaps it is Stettin. On the border of Germany and Poland.

Stettin is the German name for Szczecin which is now in Poland but before WW2 it was Germany.

Sorry, I think I was confusing it with Görlitz (Germany) which has Zgorzelec (Poland) on the other side of the river. Görlitz is worth a visit if you are ever in that part of Germany. If you like old towns, that is.
Hopefully one day.

Also Stetten:

Yes it indeed is. Need my Laptop. Cellphone typing takes long.
Yes, looks like this is it.  I was confused since it appeared to be in modern day Poland but now I know that it used to be in Germany so it makes sense.  Thanks for all the help!
