Why have we all lost our connections to the global tree? [closed]

Question

It's Monday afternoon and I have just realised that EVERYONE seems to have LOST their global connections!!  Is there something happening?

There are NO connection boxes at the bottom of our profiles.

Is the connection finder working?

Am unable to test it since there is NO connection to the connection finder!!!!

It looks like the connection finder is broken right now. Not the first time it happens. Last time that happened it came back after a couple of days. Could you add "bugs" as a tag?

Am also glad to know that this has happened before so its not my imagination!!

I don't recall that this has happened in the last 18 months I have been here at wikitree. Not that I can remember.

OK it has been down before...   (Dorothy says this happened back in February)

I have also just done a reboot to be absolutely sure that it was not just me!! (hides embarrassment).

Definitely not just you. I does not work for me either. Even Queen Victoria has no connections!!

On the other hand it's easy to not notice it, if you're not looking at connections the day it happens.

OK the Connection finder is BACK!!   About 18 hours after I noticed it had gone.  Queen Victoria is an anchor.

And the profile for the week is a russian, with cyrillic writing I cannot read.

Can someone please write his persons name in ENGLISH??

Noticed that too, Robynne. Thought I would post, but really wasn't ready for having others say that they'd had no problem. Sort of a "cheese stands alone" moment if you get my drift! But you are right...no connections at the bottom of our profiles. At least currently.

Well they were using Queen Victoria before the connection finder broke down. The question is if they will keep using Queen Vicky or change to someone else!!

I don't think it has anything to do with a problem or bug. I think it has something to do with this new GDPR about the information about living persons in Europe.
