What is the origin of the surname EMERENLIA?

Cornelia EMERENLIA was the wife of Jonathan Gilbert RICHARDSON, II.  BORN In THE LAST YEARS OF THE 1600s, I have had no success with her last name.  One person said that she was Portuguese, but I have had no luck there.  Her husband was descended from “Goody” Lydia Gilbert, supposedly, but they were married in Charleston, SC, in the early !700s and lived near Edgefield District, SC for many years.  Children were Amos, Abigail and John.

I realize this is very little info, but I am grateful for any help.

Could it be her middle name (derived or misspelled from the French girls name Emerlenia?)

I'm sure you've seen the info in the link below, I know it's a secondary source but this would suggest to me it could be her middle name
