New One Place Study for Hermitage Bay, Newfoundland. Suggestions / members Wanted!

+5 votes
Hi folks,

I've started a One Place Study for the Hermitage Bay area on the south coast of Newfoundland. My first step has been to create space pages for the main communities around the bay, and I've begun creating profiles for the heads of household in the 1921 census.

My ultimate goal is to document the nineteenth century residents of this area and trace them back to their place of emigration wherever possible.

This is my first time tackling a one place study, and so I'd love comments, suggestions, advice, and fellow collaborators!

You've done a great job so far getting started, Sean! I hope people take advantage of the categories and pages you've made, and contribute in turn.

One suggestion. You probably already know that you can do a site specific Google search (e.g.):

site: hermitage newfoundland

Not everyone follows g2g closely, but if you directly contact active members, with profiles of people in these communities, you might have some success getting people excited.

Thanks! I wasn't aware of being able to search the site using Google, so I'll start trying to rustle up some Hermitage area WikiTreeers.
