Looking at Swedish census data I found a Josef Göran Andersson born 21 June 1891 in Bergs, Skaraborg. https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/A0019885_00046.

The birth record and HFL spell the 2nd name Geron. Mother is Emma Kristina Augustsdotter (later Andersson) born 1864. They live with Emma's parents, August Andersson & Maja Johansdotter, until Emma gets married in 1903 and moves to Låstad.

No marriage records for Bergs after 1894 and no moving records for Låstad, so unable to find who Emma married.

forgot to mention middle name is Gotfried.
Found her in Låstad - married to Johan August Elversson.

Nice finding, Gerry!
I do like that we can link to the records for all to see, now.

Geron (or Gereon) IS a name, although unusual. I think Göran is a mistranscription, if you look at the image linked to the 1900 census in the search. (Much easier to find a specific person than to cast a net for Josef G Andersson born in Sweden around 1890, of course).

If he is supposed to be called Gottfrid, this is an option:

https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/Folk_015216-001

Josef Gottfrid, born 1891.

Or another, born in 1888:
