Reading help at subscription marriage 1743 of the town bride and groom live and are born

+6 votes

Hi all,

This is the subscription to the church of an intended marriage of Annigje Pieters Hoppel and Jacob Meeuwisse van de Jagt in Zuid-Beijerland.

Now I found the baptism of Annigje and of Jacob in Zuid-Beijerland.

In the marriage note (left page 5th entry from top) it is said where the bride and groom where born and lived. I think it must be some kind of reference to Zuid-Beijerland. But I can not make any chocolate of the word: Aitret? Aetrst? Atest?? Hitsert?

Does anyone know what the word says?

Thank you so much for helping!

Kind regards,

I think I found the answer here

Zuid-Beijerland was called in history "de Hitsert".

Hope I am right.

Thank you for your time.

Yes, agreed. Tiny correction: "Den Hitsert"

Oke! "Den" het is.

Dank weer Jan.
