My Great uncle Bernarr Macfadden Gibbs (also My great uncle William “Bill” Lionel Gibbs brother) entered military service February 10, 1941 in Rutland, Vermont and was discharged December 6, 1945 at Ft. Devens, Massachusetts. He served in the Philippines with the 532nd Field Artillery Battalion U.S. Army. He lost his brother William “Bill” Lionel Gibbs January 4, 1945 in Belgium. He carried his brothers casket at his funeral. I would like to know more about this particular unit and what happened to them in WWII. He did survive the war but tragically died August 11, 1962. I need resources and info pertaining to the history of this Battalion. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
