Green Duke ( I have his line) married Martha Patricia Lee Sept.9,1842, in Union District, SC.

Martha Patricia Lee was born in 1816.

They appear in the Union District 1850 Census, Household #156, with children Sarah (1843), Elizabeth, Mary, and Martha.

Green Duke and wife Martha left SC in 1856, stopped in Calhoun County, AL, briefly, and then moved to Pontotoc County, MS.

Green Duke's mother, sister, and her family remained in Calhoun County, AL and then moved????

Green Duke died in 1896, and Martha Patricia Lee Duke died in 1904.  They are buried in Pontotoc County, MS.

Green and Martha Duke had children: Sarah (1843), Mayann (1845), Elizabeth, Martha, Louise, Terrissa, William, and Martha Little (1856).

Sarah (1843) married Samuel D. McCullough in 1862.  and died 1914 in Pontotoc County, MS.

Many of the Duke family are buried in Halsell Cemetery in Pontotoc Co., MS.

Many of the McCullough family are buried in the Redland Cemetery in Pontotoc Co., MS

Well, it looks like Sarah Jackson is her mother, buried in the same cemetery. According to legend, and this is not verified at all by me, Sarah’s husband was James Lee. Captain, of something, maybe.

I would take Martha Little off of your Duke line up for this family. Martha Little was the wife of Joseph Benton Duke, a different line, and a 3rd great grandmother of mine! :)
