We have a case of Identity theft here

I removed the historically impossible birth for this person in Enniskillen; and then realised that there is a simple case of identity confusion in this profile https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cole-666

the real William Cole of Enniskillen can be found here https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cole-2313

It would not be hard to rewrite this profile with genuine information, but would like to ask what others think first.

I agree that the bio Cole-666 includes elements of the bio of  Captain William Cole
and that those should be removed.

Think the remainder is very confused and may have multiple personalies: not so easy to rewrite without  some research

Was he supposed to be a William or a James?  Who were his children ? (Improbably  born from Barnstaple to Lancashire via the City of London. ) .The first wife Mary is also married to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cole-10800 The second Susan Bale is said to have married a William in London but has a variety of dates for this event.

The attached son (PGM) has Highgate ( Middlesex)  as a birth place in the data box. The text  though first says he was born in Barnstaple and married Mary Tibbet .This  is followed by a muddled section with  the birth and marriage in Highgate.  Susan Bale pops up  marrying "William James Cole in 1585 in Barnstaple
( Freereg has indexed the Barnstaple register :Mary TIBBES
James COALE Type MarriageDate 8 May 1625County DevonPlace Barnstaple : St Peter : Extract of a Regist .I didn't find the Susan Bale marriage though there are some Bales in the register)

Thanks for this, I'll remove those elements belonging with the Captain William Cole of Eniskillen.

Then see if William James Cole's profile is an appropriate fit for the son James Cole/Coles.
And know that in that time and place two-name first names (or first plus middle names) were not used.

I think I've developed superpowers.  I was just thinking "I wish we could get rid of all the nonsense", and I looked again, and it had gone!

Decided it had to be done, discovered the profile in question is following a published genealogy which has been taken at face value. Am re-checking the Enniskillen lot for a son "James" at the moment.
I don't know anything about these Coles, I was only thinking about the Old King Coel stuff.
