How to Volunteer?

+3 votes

Message on new user's profile says..." Jane Doe is a Guest Member with limited editing ability. They may just be exploring or using the genealogist-to-genealogist (G2G) forum. They will not become a full member unless:

  • They volunteer to do wiki genealogy (they have not yet volunteered),..."

Is it possible for me to send them a link where they can volunteer (and sign the honor code)?  I've not been able to find it.

Thanks and sincerely,

But if you click on the word "volunteer", it takes you to a Help page about 'How to Volunteer', which has links on it to take it to the person's own Nav Home page.  So presumably you would link to the Help page?

The link on the word "volunteer" is the link you need. The information needed will be found on the Guest's Nav Home page. The information and Volunteer button are on that page.

A Guest cannot sign the Honor Code until after they have been confirmed as a Family Member by a WikiTree Greeter. So there is no need to send them a link to the Honor Code. That will be given to them once they are confirmed.
