Removing "spouses unknown"

Is there any way to remove "Spouses Unknown" and/or "[Spouses?]" from people that are known to have never married, i.e. people that died in infancy/childhood and adults shown as "Single" on death records? You can select "No Children" in a profile, but there is no similar "No Spouses" checkbox.

Seems misleading to display these "Spouse?" tags where it is unequivocally known that they didn't marry.

I searched for "Spouses Unknown" before posting, but found nothing relevant. After posting a "Unknown Spouses" reference did pop up which answers my question.

The method detailed in the answer to "Removing Unknown Spouses" question points to a very convoluted way to do this compared to clicking "no children" in the profile. When someone is next updating the WikiTree site, can't you just add a "No spouses" checkbox in the same place as "No Children", would be much simpler than the current method.

As some of my old friends would say, “True that.” It would make it easier without having to go to another page.
I was just going to answer your question and accidentally touched the best answer. As you've answered your own qusquest, you deserve the star. I think the No Spouse box would be better by the No Children box too..

To remove the "Spouse unknown", open the edit screen and on the right side where the spouse would be listed, click on the [add]  under where the spouses name would be. This now opens the window to add a spouse - now go to the bottom of that screen and at the bottom is a large "Has No Spouse" button. That will remove it from the profile.

This (the little 'no spouse' checkbox that doesn't require several clicks and a risk of losing all your other information) has been requested for several years.  Unfortunately, it is a technical issue that appears too tricky to implement.
