family history coburn

I'm trying to find my Coburn family. Stemming from Elmo Coburn who fathered my mother Norma Jean Coburn 1957. Please help

After more research I believe my family came from the Highlands in Scotland with the name Cockburn but now reside in the US and under Coburn. I wish I knew more but I was not raise with that side of the family, and my mother and grandmother have passed so I cannot gather any information from them. I know Elmo Coburn was my grandfather and last I heard he was in North Carolina and had other children. He fathered 2 with my grandmother Mary Frances Leslie, Norma Jean and Newman L.
