Researching Italian ancestor

I’m trying to find out more information about an Italian ancestor (2nd great grandfather). His last name is Norris, born 1834 in Genoa, Italy; immigrated to US about 1860 and died in 1913 in Bingham, Utah.

However, that’s were I get a dead-end. Norris doesn’t sound very Italian, so was probably changed. Any tips on how to find his original name, etc.

I’m frustrated with this roadblock and would love to find out more. Can anyone please help?

Thanks!

Uh... you mean he died in 1913, right? Do you have a profile up for him yet?

Yes, sorry, 1913. I don’t have a profile for him yet.
Ok, work up that profile as best as you can. It’ll help folks to have a point of reference to begin assisting you. Italian sources are out of my league, but someone surely will help to find something, I hope!

Happy hunting and best of luck!!
Thanks, I’ll put together this profile
