Thank you for sharing that Will of Garrett Willingham. Although that was a strain on my eyes to read, it gave me a better idea of what this man actually accomplished in his life.
He owned a lot of land. And it seemed that his children owned the land around him, and they sold it back to their dad, or to each other.
Either way, in this will, Garrett was leaving each of his children a fair amount of land, and his wife was still going to come out with 200 acres. That seems like an awful lot of land for someone to own back in 1825 in Kentucky.
