Cindy,
I could have never done some of the things I have so far without having your guidance. I was like a fish out of water when I came to this site and although I still have TONS to learn about how things work here (old fashioned paper and pencil sure seems easier ;) ) I do feel much better about clicking on different things to see what they are about and learning where they take me. I'm going to have to work towards getting my 1700's and 1500's Cert. since my tree goes beyond that. Baby steps. There are so many projects here that I am interested in because my roots go deep especially in New England starting with (Mayflower descendent) Edward Fuller, Salem Witch trials, Loyalists, Recolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War....I think the only one I'm missing is having a Confederate in the family so far. But who knows, maybe someone here may find that connection for me!
But I know that this site is more like one big family and everyone is friendly and helpful not like some other sites where they want to keep all of their info in their own "little rice bowl" which I think makes being here so much ore comfortable. I love that you just took the reins and jumped right in to help here on site and private email. You have not judged me or made me feel stupid because I'm just learning protocol and my way around and I couldn't have done it without you.
Thank you so much for taking me under your wing and making me feel like a part of the family right from the start. I hope to someday make you proud and not make too many mistakes.
