Dear G-Granddaughter,

Here is a likely marriage record.  Is it possible Josephine was the widow BLACK when she married Charles Saunders?

"New York, New York City Marriage Records, 1829-1940," database, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:24MF-CCS : 10 February 2018), Charles Saunders and Josephine Ryno Black, 28 Sep 1870; citing Marriage, Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States, New York City Municipal Archives, New York; FHL microfilm 1,543,856.

If this is her, you need to check alternate spellings. Use her parents' names - Cosa RYNO and Ana Eliza SMITH.  Good luck! -NGP

Thank you. this is the correct Josephine Ryno (misspelled Reno) whose parents are Corra (Cora, misspelled Cosa).

Thank you again .You have been a great help which led to my discovery that my 3rd g-grandfather,  Corra Ryno, born in Essex Co. NJ, was the grandson of Revolutionary War Patriot Esek Ryno.

Dear Joan,

I'm glad I could help.  Now you can join one of the lineage societies, like NSDAR.  And be sure to document your findings here on WikiTree so other relatives can celebrate with you! -NGP

Okay, here may be a previous marriage:

"New York, New York City Marriage Records, 1829-1940," database, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:24ZB-XG1 : 10 February 2018), Robert Black and Josephine Ryno, 23 Apr 1861; citing Marriage, Manhattan, New York, New York, United States, New York City Municipal Archives, New York; FHL microfilm 1,671,673.

Next, I would look in the 1860 census for Miss Josephine R?no. Hope this helps! -NGP
