Percy Short Thornton

Question

I am trying to trace information about my wife's above named ancestor. He was born in 1886 in Romsey, Hampshire, England. His parents were Alfred William Thornton (1857-1910) and Ann Fry (1856-1908) both of whom spent their entire lives in Wiltshire & Hampshire England. It is possible that Percy Short Thornton emigrated to Oregon, USA in 1911 and was naturalized in Niagara, New York State in 1922. Can anybody provide any further information on the Percy Short Thornton mentioned above, and, are all the details known referring to the same person?

1925 NEW york Census, Niagara Falls USA, Percy and Ellen with 2 children. Florence age 10 BORN 1915 IN cANADA,tHEN CHILD cHESTER

Maudziak,he is listed as son age 3 born Niagara,perhaps William is there
Ward.

So they lived in Canada for a short time after they married.

By the way they were Catholic,belonging too Church of England.

Oct 6 1913,Welland Ontario,Canada, His father Alfred William Thornton,

Mother Alma Fry Thornton.

When married in Ontario,they were living Niagara Falls USA.

Percy died Dec 21 1939,Niagara Falls.

Your answer opened a number of doors in the family tree. Apart from confirming that the Percy Scorey in my question was my wife's ancestor. I have managed to find that he and his wife Ellen had 4 children. Also, I have traced Ellen's family back to England & Ireland (her real surname was O'Callaghan) but they dropped the 'O' when they emigrated.
