Hello, I am Renee Saville Cook and I've been working on my father's Saville line of my family tree. The Savilles lived in Franklin/Jackson/Banks County, GA (same general location) from around 1800 to 1918. My line is confirmed back to William Saville (born c.1770-80 in SC / died c. 1850 in GA) and his wife Polly Harris (b c. 1785 SC / d c. 1853 GA). Here is a link to them:

In trying to locate William's parents, I found William and Lucy Savell in Laurens, Co. SC. A visit to Laurens showed they sold land in 1798, which fits with the timeline. According to numerous sites, including Wikitree, in addition to William they had other children, one of which was named Moses. I would love find documentation to support the names and birthdates of this family; so far, it is only heresay from other member trees.

Early Grove Level Baptist Church records in Franklin/Banks County, GA, list a number of Savells including William, Polly, Lucy and Moses. Here is a link to those records:

So far, this is the strongest evidence I have that indicates the family in Laurens moved to Georgia. I believe it is strong enough to link William (whose wife is Polly) as the son of William and Lucy from Laurens, SC. Do you agree? Thank you so much!
