Why am I unable to join the trusted list?

I am the great great grandson of James Comb (1829-1894) and would like to add to his profile but I am am unable join the trusted list, why is this? I am after all a close family member.

So this profile was an orphan, not sure what you tried to do.  Hit the link on the profile and send me a request to join the trusted list and I will add you.

Hi Peter!

If a profile is managed by someone else, you should request to join the trusted list with that profile manager.

If a profile is orphaned, you may adopt it and take over as the profile manager.
