is there a category for Pharmaceutical chemists

I am in the process of improving profiles before I ditch some and I have found a Pharmaceutical chemist is there a particular category for this profession

You can find different occupations listed under the Find button and click category. For a chemist the current Category for a person from United Kingdom would be [[Category: British Chemists]]

Chemist is different to Pharmaceutical Chemist or Pharmacist and as a Pharmacist I believe this should have its own category,

However there appears to be a specific Occupational Category for Pharmacist here https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Pharmacists there maybe enough information to substantiate a different category under Chemist being [[Category: Pharmaceutical Chemist]] it may be best to check here https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Categorization#Adding_new_categories

In Great Britain the terms are both protected and can be used by individuals with the relevant qualification. Pharmacist is the more widely known name and it would be reasonable to add details to the category. I am happy to edit this, if needed, with links to relevant resources to help other WikiTree members.

What I might suggest before Editing Categories is to contact the coordinator for the Categorization Project they may be able to give you the best guidance on how to continue You can find the project page here

There is already a suitable category so I have added information to clarify and a link under English Pharmacists. I am a member of the England project who have an interest in this category being clear.

I started a thread on occupation categories a few months back. Essentially, we decided that it made more sense to keep adding new categories, even if they're synonymous (or nearly so), rather than expecting people to search through the category hierarchy and find the "correct" name for whatever occupation they turn up in a source. Therefore, by all means add [[Category:Pharmaceutical Chemists]] to that profile, and link upwards from [[Category:Pharmaceutical Chemists]] to [[Category:Occupations By Name]] at the very least. I personally would also link upwards to [[Category:Chemists]], too. I don't know enough about that occupation to comment on whether linking upwards to [[Category:Pharmacists]] would make sense or not.
