What is a “Noteable” profile? [closed]

Question

I’ve looked through the help pages and couldn’t find anything on what was a Noteable person or profile. Where did I miss it? What qualifies a person as Noteable?  Thanks!

I have typically used Wikipedia as a qualification for the Notable Sticker. But in looking at this question, I see that it really has more follow up questions than answers. For instance, putting a Notable Sticker on a profile automatically puts them in the Notable category. Great!!!  But there are so many people in the Notable category that you can only see part of the a's on one page. So then you see that there are sub-categories. If you use the Notable Sticker, how do you get it to place it in the correct sub-category?  Then in the sub-categories, it says American Notables but we usually say United States Notables or North American Notables. I guess what I am saying is that this category needs some reorganization so it flows consistently.

Use {{Notables Sticker|Sub-Category}}... It should do the trick. The sub-category has to exist.

Now about the organization of sub-categories... I agree. The categorization and notables projects are aware of the problem, but there is no solution yet.
