Synthia, I don’t know if you took this picture or someone else, but the photography is excellent! I see lots of pics of monuments and gravestones, and sometimes it’s hard to read the item in th photo because the light/sun is straight into the subject. In the pic you shared, Synthia, the lighting was perfect with just enough shadow to define the wording. (BTW: this little trick works very well on old, weathered gravestones, even using artificial lighting.)

Not only is this a really well done photo, Synthia, you also have every reason to be proud of the accomplishments of your ancestor. Thank you for sharing it with us.
