Why is my great-great grandfather project protected? [closed]

My great-great grandfather, Alonzo Morris Buck Sr., has the project protection label. I'm guessing it's for the Civil War project, but it doesn't say. I don't see a good reason for this: while he did serve during the Civil War, his service was not particularly notable in any way to my knowledge and he's not historically significant, there's no controversy around him, and no one trying to create duplicates.

Also, while the project protection description page says that the project is the manager, that's not true for him--I'm the manager.

edit: adding the Civil War tag because I can't think of who else would've added a Project Protection label.

If someone is “ project protected” perhaps the profile needs to state clearly what the project is, who “ protected” it, and why it was projected.

It appears it was done on 3rd Jun 2015, looking at the change history:

maybe it was accidental.

leaders often forget that they have "special powers" that the rest of us don't have, and may unintentionally click buttons that they shouldn't click.
Dennis, I have special powers, but I can’t tell you what they are. One of those powers is not memory.
I messaged Maggie N. Hopefully it was just an accident and she will remove the protection.
The fact that a project wasn't assigned as manager at the same time, makes me think it might have been unintentional.

(LOL Pip... me too :) )
