Is there a project that covers these pre-1700 people? Strickland

I want to help contribute to the deep genealogy on our shared tree.

1.) Geographical region and time period:   1657 Massachusetts - 1704 New York

2.) Some example names and dates:   Jonathan Strickland

3.) Source(s) for my information on them:   Thwaite Strickland of Dedham and Hartford" in "Strickland Notes" by Donald Lines Jacobus in "The American Genealogist", vol 21, p 89-92 provides details for 6 children and 13 grandchildren and Jonathan, the Son of Thwaits & Elizabeth Strickland, was borne the 23 of ye 4 mo.'' Massachusetts Vital Records to 1850

Before I get started adding and changing profiles, can you tell me if there is a WikiTree project that would cover these people? If so, how do I get in touch with the project members to coordinate and collaborate on the profiles?

Go to the pull down menu on your home profile.  Click on "Find."  Scroll down and click on "projects."  There you will find a list of projects and the parameters of the projects -  select one.  To get in touch with the project, look for the name of the leader(s) or coordinator(s) and contact one of them.

Ify ou go back from there one or two generations you most likely would be in the Pilgrim Great Migration Project which includes not only Puritans but the others that came with them and/or were part of their communities - can someone retag this question from the PGM?

Those are good sources that you are using. smiley

The Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York projects all would have interest in these families. Please post here on G2G or get in touch with those projects to discuss people, request assistance, or offer your assistance to others, when needed. Find the project pages at:
