How to merge Sailors-26 into Sailors-3?

Currently, John Sailors (Sailors-3) is a public profile, but should be an open one as the facts (including the wife) agree with John Sailors (Sailors-26) which is sourced.  John Sailors was born about 1835 and he and his family are listed in the 1860 Census Report.  There is also a findagrave memorial to him.  Sailors-26 is an open profile as required by the wikitree policy and style guide.  I  just e-mailed the profile manager about the situation as I am sure he's not aware that John Sailors was born in the 1830's.

Obviously, the merge can't be completed until Sailors-3 becomes an open profile.

The PM should be aware that Sailors-3 would have been born in the 1830s. There is a marriage date for him in 1854. The PM may not have known that the profile should be open. Do give the PM a chance to respond. The PM last made a contribution in April and may take some time to reply.

Or, you can just ask to have the profiles opened.   Under the menu for the profile  Sailors-3 just hit the link that says Open Profile Request
