Merging of grandparent duplicates caused my status as manager to disappear

Question

I suggested a merge of a duplicate profile created at a later date by a distant relative (Lensky-22) back on 05 Mar 2017 to my earlier profile: Lensky-6. I have moved/haven't been doing much genealogy since/can't remember any details. I now find that I've been removed as a profile manager, and the profile manager (Okon-9) of the more-recent-merged-profile has become the sole profile manager. Why have I been "removed" (I'm still on the trusted list.)

What's weird is I find no evidence in the changes tab that you were removed.   The merge process wouldn't have removed you because when it changes PMs, it retains the PM of the lower numbered profile.  But I thought it only removed PMs on pre 1700 profiles.

I have (communicated) with no response. There seems to be concern over some relatives' name-changes due to divorce/remarriage/adoption/etc. Actually, these changes result in some "unknown"-s having duplicate profiles. It seems that they wish to remain "unknown" per the relatives I've created profiles for/the profiles I've created with their paternal surnames...

No. It doesn't. It would really help if I could update my user email address. I no longer use yahoo mail--especially after their humongous data breach back in _ _ _ _?

Admin may have removed you from profiles if you were unresponsive.  You probably need to send email to info @wikitree.com, tell them you need email changed on your profile to what you want, as well as ask about the profile in question.  You should do all the steps to contact the other PM and then fill out unresponsive PM if needed.

Hi Greg, I'm not sure how this happened, but its unfortunate. I'd suggest you try to contact Jennifer again, and if she doesn't respond, then proceed with the Unresponsive Manager procedure - https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Unresponsive_Profile_Managers

You are already on the trusted list, but to tick all the boxes, send another trusted list request asking her to add you as a profile manager. Then if she doesn't respond in a day or so, post to her profile and send her a private message asking her to please add you as a profile manager then wait at least a week. It may be worth a brief explanation to Jennifer of how she can add you as manager, or ask her to get back to you if she needs assistance with how to do it. If she doesn't respond, then complete the Unresponsive manager Form, which is at the end of the Family Tree and Tools tab on Stephen Lensky's profile.

Jennifer hasn't been on wikitree for almost two years.  Greg, go ahead and submit the UPM. You'll find it low on the Family Tools tab.

Thanks for the update Jillaine. I've had my apt. flooded recently and am in the middle of moving solo while in poor health. This is a priority but secondary to getting moved ASAP. I'll have to return to these issues later...
