Christian Salkald is the wrong name: the correct name (according to page 264 of A Genealogical and Heraldic history of the commoners of Great Britain and Ireland (Burke)) is Christiana Salkeld, daughter of Sir Richard Salkeld (1420-1500) who was a lawyer and MP (twice) for Cumberland between 1467-1475.  Richard Salkeld was married to Jane, daughter of Roland Vaux of Triermain, Cumberland (and so Christiana's mother).

I have added what was mentioned in Burke to her profile (along with the source), and have suggested a merge into Salkeld-2, which I take is the proper spelling. I also corrected the wrong Corby and wrong first name on both of these profiles.

Have moved it ahead, but other profiles also seem to need merging and I could not do them all yet. More sources would be nice, and a simple bit of googling should get you a lot for this family. A good journal for the region is now online here: http://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/archives/view/cumberland/volumes.cfm (maybe easiest to do a google "site search" if looking for key words).

Nicolson and Burn is also online for example in Google Books, and there are good websites for the History of Parliament biographies and British History Online which are very easy to cite from and link to.
