Ok everyone, I am in serious need of help finding my great grandmother's parents. All I have is my great grandmother's marriage record, which has their names, but no further information, and I have hit a total brick wall. Here is the most information that I can give, as it is all I have:

Name: Edward Gitchel

Date/Place of birth: UNKNOWN(possibly between 1880-1890)

Children: Ruth Lucille Gitchel(my great grandmother) and Bernice Ileen Gitchel(Pitt)

Wife: Ida Greer

That's about all the information I have on this person, and I am struggling to find any kind of records at all. If anyone has ANY information regarding Edward or Ida, please contact me ASAP. Thank you!

Your ggm's marriage record has no place, not even a state, or date?
The marriage certificate was for the marriage of my great grandmother Ruth to her then husband Clyde Rathbone. The names were listed as mother and father of the bride. No further information was given.
I forgot to mention a few things:

Ruth's year of birth is 1915

Place of birth is Nebraska

Says she's a native of Fresno

Marriage to Clyde took place in Los Angeles California
See, you've already given more information where you said you had none:  name of Clyde Rathbone.  You have a marriage certificate?  And it has no date on it?  And you can't tell where it was issued?  Pardon my skepticism.

You really have to share every minor detail to maximize your chances of getting help.  Better yet, put it all in a profile, and post the link to the profile.
Much better.  11 Jun 1938, Los Angeles.  Also present, John Rathbone and Rose May Gregory.
Everything on the marriage cert. Is as follows:

Husband: Clyde Martin Rathbone (1908)

Wife: Ruth Lucille Gitchel (1915)

Event date: 11 June 1938

Event place: Los Angeles, California

Mother of the bride: Ida Greer

Father of the bride: Edward Gitchel.

No known Birth date for either parents, or location of birth. I have nothing on them other than their names. I can only guess when they may have been born based on Ruth's DOB
In 1917 Edward and Ida were in Omaha Nebraska
