Looking for DNA connections that have the surname Jackson in IA, IL or IN. GEDmatch numbers are T279661 and T634765.

I edited my question so hopefully it makes more sense. I'm looking for Jackson or Jackson descendents with DNA connections to my mother or I that have roots in Iowa, Illinois or Indiana.

Hello Tom,

We share about 24 cM. Interestingly enough, I don't share any DNA with your mother, so it must be on your father's side. I don't have the surname Jackson in my tree as far as I'm aware, though I do have descendants from Illinois and Indiana (and Michigan) on both my father and mother's sides.

Probably not what you were looking for, but interesting nonetheless.

On my father's side I have Lewis, Gray, Cozatt, Bridges, Collins or Collings, just to name a few. Indiana roots going back to the early 1800s or before.

I do have a Collins (4gg) on my mother's side: Collins-15200. I haven't researched that line too much though.

8.5 cm, for you, nothing for your mother. I just got my mother's results yesterday from ancestry and haven't uploaded to GEDmatch yet.
