Procedure for Updating GEDmatch DNA Kit ID's

I am finding that many new users are entering GEDmatch kit ID's that do not conform to the GEDmatch standard and it results in getting a not found in the GEDmatch database error.  I am leaving a comment for the member.  I suppose resolution of this on the GEDmatch/Wikitree member side should remain between our member and GEDmatch.  It would be nice to be able to tell our member how to correct their Wikitree record.  What is the proceedure for doing this?
