trying to find the other page of 1861 census

Question

I have Emily Poole born 1860 in weston super mare, somerset, england in 1861 as daughter but looking for the page before that shows her parents they were living in Little Orchard Street

I was not expecting that :)

I shall go a hunting for her parents now as she was a inmate in 1871 and have not found her in 1881 yet as she married in 1888 to Henry Puddy

I will go looking for his parents next

Found her brother in 1851 with the parents Sidney Poole and Matilda Pike

Her birth record has PIKE but her parents marriage on FreeBMD (1845) has PYKE.

Looks like her mother may have remarried. Did her first husband die before the 1861 census?

Thats what I was thinking Hilary as she is listed as daughter in 1861 but can not find a second marriage on free bdm or familysearch

BUNLEY is a mistake. There are only three births recorded with that surname in the entire FreeBMD database.

A Matilda Poole did marry in Winchester Q4 1856. There are two possibilities on FreeBMD but someone has added a postern to Henry Bishop saying he married Matilda Poole.

A Matilda Bishop did then marry a Joseph Verney in Manchester in Q4 1858. This seems unlikely given the distance and yet ... Verney/Bunley?

A JOSEPH BURLEY TILLER was baptised in Jan 1829 in St Austell. He's on the 1841 and 1851 censuses but vanishes thereafter. I think he's the Joseph Bunley (32) on the 1861 census who was going by the name Joseph Burley for some reason. So he and Matilda probably not married.

The baptisms for East Brent are all on FreeReg.

Matilda Pyke was baptised there on 30 May 1822, and again a couple of weeks later, daughter of John and Elizabeth. She had a sister Caroline, born 1820, who was the mother of Sylvester, born 1837.

Sylvester (shown as Pipe) was living with Sidney and Matilda in 1851. He's shown as a lodger, but would have been her nephew.

There's a death registration for Matilda Poole in Axbridge district in 1864, shown as age 45, so a couple of years out, but I still think this might be your Matilda. Maybe she was never married to Joseph Bunley.
Sidney Poole died in Axbridge district in 1854, age shown as 34.

Again using FreeReg, Sydney Poole was baptised in Huntspill on 4 February 1821, son of Thomas and Frances. So the age at death fits in with this baptism.
