how do I add parents to a profile I have

Question

I  created & am  P. M . of a cousin. she died last month & in her obituary is the names of her parents which I would now like to add to her profile but I do not have the birth or deaths of her parents. & I have no idea what it would be - so is there a way I can add them to her profile without having to create a profile for each of them .as I only have their names ??

Hi Martha, you can not open profiles for them without birth or death dates, if you want to open profiles for them then you can enter an approximate birth or death date, pending further research, however the best thing to do at this stage would be to cite them in the Biography of your cousin until you can find enough sources to open their own profiles proving a connection to the family tree.

Someone has already created profiles for Jolene's parents.   Since you had their full names, including her mother's maiden names, and estimates of death dates (and one birth date),  and provided death locations...... this is quality information to have captured.  The rest will come in time  (perhaps you'll be the one to find it!).

could you tell me who has created profiles on Jolene`s parents. how can I find this information ??  could I get their profile number ??

 I  wonder why they would not have contacted me ..[[  am wondering if it was me & I forgot .. hope I am not getting that senile !! but I am 83 & having trouble to retain  information

Hi, well I guess I am senile !!!!! - just went back to Jolene`s profile & I did add her parents -but it was so much guess work - guess it is why I forgot - oh well !!  [[ Live & Learn  -- Die & forget it all   ]] but seems like this time I forgot BEFORE i DIED --

I too am amazed that I have to keep good notes on what I've done!   Luckily, each WikiTree profile has a  "Changes" tab at the top to help us keep track.   (So far,  I haven't accused my husband of using my WikiTree log in to make changes.)

I found the Find A Grave memorials for Jolene's parents.   

For her father insert the following while on his profile EDIT page....place it with his Sources:

when I entered it in Source in Jolene`s profile it came up red - when I clicked on it got message   

action requested limited to users in the group Supervisors ????
