Frances P May (Doss)

Question

I had just got done watching Hacksaw Ridge a movie of Mel Gibson coined off the life of Desmond Thomas Doss a Military War Veteran in World War 2.

I got intrigued and looked up him on wikitree to see if there is a profile and there is however there is a second wife who is also added to the profile. by the name of Frances May Doss however at the time of the profile creation the surname is unknown. I have a working theory on the surname if anyone would like to look further into the life of Frances.

My theory is she was born: Frances May Sherman born to Robert F Sherman and Gertrude A Rees or Reese

Yeah I saw that however there like no other information I could find to support that being her maiden name. That index information appears slightly derivative.
